Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Clipmind ("we", "us", "our") is a personal project operated by Ryan Nam. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Clipmind, how we use it, and what choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address via OAuth.
  • Content you save: URLs, page titles, notes, summaries, and screenshots you clip or create within the app.
  • Collections and metadata: Collection names and the organizational structure you create.
  • Usage data: Basic analytics (page views, performance metrics) collected by Vercel Analytics to help us improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Clipmind service.
  • To generate semantic search embeddings from your clip and note content (processed via Azure OpenAI; content is not stored by Azure beyond the API call).
  • To authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized usage data.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase – database and authentication hosting.
  • Azure OpenAI – generates vector embeddings for semantic search. Text is sent to Azure's API but not stored or used for model training.
  • Vercel – hosting and performance analytics.
  • Google OAuth – sign-in only; we do not access your Google data beyond your name and email.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enforced — each user can only access their own data. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. No sensitive credentials are stored in client-side code.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Clipmind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date.
